Ok, I don't know if there is such a thing as "type Z" or not... but, there has to be something that is opposite of "type A" (which is what I am). Apparently, the people that built this house and the people that lived in it before us were both type Z. Now, looking at our house, you probably wouldn't be able to tell that I am type A, as it is ususally trashed... of course, due to the fact that we have two little ones. But, when we do projects, I like to make sure that things are done right. Take for example, cleaning woodwork after painting... I just finished cleaning the woodwork around where we painted in the dining room. Of course, what we goofed cleaned up great, but the stuff that has been on there for 20 years didn't... Why wouldn't you clean up after you paint!?! Oh well... it's not that noticable, I guess.
I finished the hardware for the bathroom cabinets yesterday and got everything put back together. At first, I thought... Yuk. I'm really messing this up (when I put the antiquing paint on). But, after I got the hang of it and put a second coat on, things looked really awesome! I'm very pleased with the way they turned out. I'll have to try and gather a before and after shot of the cabinets and post them soon. (Thanks to Dana for the suggestion!)
Today was MOPS, but we didn't go. The kids are both sleeping (at close to 11 a.m.). I just didn't feel like having the struggles this morning. So, I just thought I would let everyone (including myself) rest. This year, MOPS hasn't been as rewarding for me. Not sure why... Our discussion group hasn't seemed to gel. I mean ladies are all very nice, but I just haven't bonded that much with any of them. I think that a lot of this has to do with a lot of the illnesses and missed meetings we've all had. Oh well... Sometimes that happens. I'm trying to decide what to do about next year. I think that I'm leaning towards not being in regular MOPS and helping out with a newly forming Teen MOPS group... perhaps by volunteering in their childcare... Need to discuss this with Doug, as he would be on Daddy-duty on evenings when they meet.
Well, need to take care of some laundry and dishes. Both are out of control since we've been focusing on house projects...
Oh, still no baby in GA. Dean made it home safely last night - don't know why I thought he didn't come home until tonight. Anyway, looks like he'll be there for the big day. Good. That's how it should be.
