Amanda is sick now... James is recovering... Doug is recovering... I think that I am coming down with a cold. Yuck! Doug finally made it back to work yesterday. His back is feeling much better, but he is still taking it easy. James has a bit of a cough and a bit of a runny nose but definitely seems to be on the mend. Amanda is about at the peak discomfort level from a cold (that James has shared with her, I guess). Poor thing wants us to "blow her nose" every five seconds it seems. Could this be the start of OCD??? I woke up this morning with a little tickle in my throat. It seems that I'll be the next one to get the cold. That's ok, as long as we are all healthy by the time we arrive in Georgia Sunday afternoon! I MUST be able to hold that baby and give her some hugs and kisses.
Mom came down and went to Music Class with us this morning. It really was fun. Amanda probably shouldn't have gone... but, it was the last day of the session, and the "favorites" are featured. It's always a fun time. After class, we met Doug at Qdoba for lunch - yum. I ate way too much and had three glasses of water. Now, between the water, the rice and the flour tortilla, my stomach seems to be ballooning out! So, what do I do when I get home? Eat chocolate (see prior blog). We were planning on going shopping at Babies R Us after lunch, but Amanda just looked to horrible. She is now in bed napping. So is James! I will be soon, hopefully.
I worked really hard yesterday and got all of our remaining plants in their proper spots. It was a lot of hard work, but everyone looks very healthy and happy in their new homes. I guess live or die, it is all my work. Perhaps Doug planned it that way... now I can't pass the blame onto him if they don't survive. The flower beds look awesome! Why did we wait for years to implement the plans? That always happens. We (me really) get so hung up on not doing something for fear of the unknown... then, when the task is tackled and completed, it turns out great!
Well, off to rest for awhile. When everyone wakes up there is plenty to do to prepare for our trip... however, I have made a serious dent in the laundry already. The dishes are also caught up. I am beginning to think that we might actually be able to pull this off...
