Today is golf day for Doug... and that means a LONG day for me. I'm glad that he is in the league, it gives him the opportunity to meet other men from church. But, I really wish that it started earlier. They don't tee off until 5:30 each week... so, that means he hasn't been getting home until around 8:30. By then, the kids and I are both needing to see a new face. I pray that today goes smoothly. James is already down for his morning nap... Not sure what that means other than he went down early.
We had a great weekend. Mother's Day was fantastic! The gang got me a beautiful potted plant, a garden scooter, some garden knee pads, an aim-n-flame, some salsa pots (great since I've been craving salsa lately!), and some Jujubes. I also got my two favorite breakfasts - Eggs Benedict on Saturday and Orange Rolls on Sunday. I got a clean house also (even though I had to help). We even moved the furniture in the family room. It looks bigger now! Mom and Dad came down on Sunday and we had a cookout. It was really nice to see them... it seems like about a month since we'd seen them since their extended visit to Georgia.
It sounds like everything is going well with Mendi, Dean and Anzie. I have heard Anzie making those sweet little baby noises over the phone. So sweet. They grow so quickly... seems like only yesterday that James and Amanda made those sweet little sounds. Speaking of James, I cleaned out his closet yesterday. I can't believe the stack of clothes that he has outgrown. He does have some awesome clothes for summer. If only it would warm back up...
I've been looking at our landscaping plans... yes, the ones that we've literally had for five years. I really want to make a few new flower beds this spring. I've picked out two that I really want to do. I've been looking at the plant descriptions on the internet. Some of them seem to need "full sun", but the plans call for them to be in an area that will probably only get full sun until about 1 p.m. or so. Not sure if this is a big deal... I probably should talk to someone at the local plant store.
Gotta go for now... Time to sing "Where is Thumbkin". Funny :)
