I Love Chocolate

Ok, there... I've said it. Step one, right? Admit that you have a problem... Well, there is not a whole lot that chocolate can't cure in my book - boredom, sadness, hunger, stress... I just finished munching part of a chocolate Easter bunny. It was James' and since he can't eat chocolate yet, I thought that I would eat it for him. Yum.

Yesterday afternoon, Amanda helped me stake out the location of two of our flower beds we're wanting to create. Just as we were starting the second one, it started to rain. James was taking his nap, so Amanda and I were able to enjoy some quiet time. We pulled out some lawn chairs and sat in the garage and watched it rain. I remember doing this with Dad when I was a little girl... except we sat on the tailgate of Ole Yeller (our truck). Some things never fade from your memory. And, by the way, I love the smell of rain, too.

Last night after doing a quick cache, I went walking around in the rain at a local plant store - I guess they are called nurserys. Anyway, we did a cache... went to Menards, which was totally cleaned out of nice plants... then stopped at a nursery. Their sign said open, but their hours indicated that they were closed. Since the gate was opened, we drove on in. It was starting to rain pretty heavily, so Doug and the kids stayed in the truck. I took advantage of some "alone" time by walking and browsing in the pouring rain. In all honesty, it was really fun and relaxing. It has been years since I've walked in the rain. This particular nursery had awesome plants, and they had most of what I was looking for. I wanted to stop by and get them after music class today, but another rain storm was moving through. Perhaps later today...

We need to borrow Mom and Dad's truck soon to get a load or two of topsoil. Doug doesn't seem to be very excited about this outdoor project, but I'm pressing on. I know that it will look really nice when we are done. Plus... there will be less yard to mow :) And, speaking of the yard, it really does need mowed. Doug was saved my an afternoon shower yesterday... maybe we can get it done tonight?

Music class was fun today. There were only two other children there besides James and Amanda. It was very fun... and fast. The mommies were all chatty after class. I felt like our teacher was about ready to throw us out! (not really - she is very sweet and very patient with us all.)
