Storm Warning

It seems as though we are under a Winter Storm Warning... We'll see if they get this one right or not. I am very cautious about freaking out about weather advisories, as it seems like lately the weather isn't usually nearly as bad as they predict. Perhaps since this is a warning actually issued from NOAA, it might have more credibility.

We got a lot of work done on the house this weekend. All of the painting (except for the north wall) on the dining room paneling is done. Boy, what a difference! It looks really nice. When we return from GA, we'll get the 75-gal tank and the hutch moved away from the north wall and finish it up. I need to clean the chair-railing and baseboard and try to get it put back in place today. Doug worked and got the baseboard back up in the garage entry way. It's nice to finally finish up some stuff.

Speaking of Doug... what a hoot! Today, he took the truck in to get some recall work done on it. As he was backing it out of the garage, the shop vac got lodged underneath it. I'm not sure how far down the drive he got, but when I went out to the garage, he was carrying pieces back in. As soon as he left, it got put into the trash... but, after talking with him on the phone, it seems as though he wants to try and fix it. Mind you, the cord was pulled out... the wiring was pulled out of the top... the wheels all fell off... the suction hose is cracked. LOL! We'll just set it next to the hand mixer that needs fixed, too.

Lots to do this week to get ready to go to GA. I amused Amanda and James with a new version of "Midnight Train to Georgia" this morning. Not sure how many times Amanda said, "Again...". It was quite a hit with her. I'm sure we'll be singing that alot in the next few days.
