No Snow Yet...

Ok, it's 5:30 a.m. and we have NO snow on the ground. Hmmm. Good job, guys! You really nailed this one... I think that we are still supposed to get some snow today. It looks like it just hasn't made it to our area yet. We'll see.

I woke up this morning burning up. Since then, the cats have bothered me for breakfast. I decided to come on out and feed them, get a glass of water and get on the puter for a bit. I am now feeling like it's time to crawl back into bed. Yawn...

Yesterday, while Doug was at work, I decided to try and put the chair-railing and baseboard back up in the dining room. Let's just say that it didn't go too smoothly. As I was trying to nail the first piece back up, I hit my pinkie with the hammer. I sat there saying - i-yi-yi-yi-yi - and here comes Amanda (I promise that really is what I said!). Amanda just stood there and looked at me and with the straightest face said, "DRAMA!" That is what we say to her when she is overreacting. I just busted out laughing. So funny! Kids can really put things into perspective quickly. Doug saved the day and put all of the woodwork back up when he got home from work. It looks great.

James is having a blast in his exersaucer. Yesterday, he discovered that he could bounce up and down in it. He just bounced and giggled and played!! He really is developing those chunky legs... won't be long until he's running around this place. I keep warning Amanda... She has no idea what is coming.

I didn't really get much done in the way of trip preparation yesterday. Perhaps today will be a more productive day. KC goes in for her bath this morning. Boy, that should be a riot. I would love to be a fly on the wall for that.
