He's Mo-bile!

To quote The Who from their song "Goin' Mobile"...

I'm goin' home
And when I wanna go home
I'm goin' mobile
Well, I'm gonna find a home
And we'll see how it feels
Goin' mobile
Keep me movin'

James is ALL over this house! Yesterday, he mastered the art of belly/elbow crawling. He crawled from our bedroom to our bathroom... all over the family room. Today, he made his first trip out of Amanda's bedroom down the entire hallway into the dining room. He rather liked the sound his hands made pounding on the hardwood floor in the dining room. Of course, he managed to stir up some ancient dust bunnies. Guess I'll have to work on getting those cleaned up sometime soon. Then again, if I wait James could act as my own personal Roomba (is that what they're called?).

Right now, Doug is fighting with Amanda trying to get her diaper on. Sounds like he's torturing her or something. Won't it be nice when we can finally get her potty trained? I honestly can't figure out how to convince her that being potty trained is a good thing. I've tried all the tricks that I have heard of and nothing has successfully worked. Maybe I need to go back and try all over. Of course, there is constant societal pressure about potty training kids these days... Doug and I try not to cave in to this (and the other societal pressures). I still think that the best policy is letting a kid be a kid. She will figure it out eventually... I'm sure that she won't be wearing diapers when she is 20.

I did a bit more wallpaper tearing in the family room today. That project had been on hold for a few weeks. I would say that the West wall is 1/2 done. I can't believe how much taller the room looks since I tore the paper down from above the door. Can't wait to see how awesome it will look when it is painted...

Well, time to go to Meijer.
