The birds are outside singing away. They love this unseasonably warm weather as much as we do. It is awesome to be able to have the windows open, breathe the fresh air and hear the sounds of Spring at such an early time of the year.
On the way to music class today, I noticed that the developers are moving right ahead with a mega-subdivision about a mile from our house. They've taken the liberty to knock down nearly every nice, old tree that is in the area to be developed. It totally changes the looks of the area. You would think that they would want to keep the older trees to add some character to the otherwise "cookie cutter" feel of these subdivisions that are taking over our area. Guess not... what do I know? I told Doug today to feel free to start looking for another job wherever he wants to. I'm tired of the over developed yuppieville that is closing in on us... in what used to be "out in the country".
Music class was great today. The kids had a blast as always. We met Doug for lunch in the park and did a cache. Fun was had by all.
We worked on the yard last night - finally. I'm not sure how much time Doug spent on it. He basically wound up mowing the whole thing twice because it was so tall. It looks so lush and thick now. Yum. I love the smell of fresh mown grass..
