Those Gators...

they did it again. Doug is pretty bummed out about getting Ohio State getting beat in the championship games of both football and basketball by the Gators. I don't know if there is any hope of us ever getting to vacation in Florida again... at least there is still the Outer Banks... the Gulf Shores... Hawaii... dream on.

It is another gorgeous day here. It is supposed to storm here later... not sure when. The kids and I are probably going to head up to have lunch with Doug today. That is always such a nice treat for all of us. I will probably give Mom and Dad a call to see if they will be around, too.

We all started painting our Easter eggs from Hobby Lobby last night. James did great... he just wanted to eat the paint. Once he got the idea that the paint went on the wood and not in his mouth, he did just fine. I wish that I could get the silly photo editor to work so that I could post some pictures. Well, maybe in my "free" time today, I can work on that again.

I have figured out the patterns that I would like to use on the letters for Anzie's room. Now, I just need to decide which colors I would like to use where. I can't wait to start... but, I'm a bit nervous, too. It has to be just perfect for my precious little niece. She is just SO sweet. The other day I was "talking" to her on the phone. Mendi said that as soon as she heard my voice, she started kissing the phone. Aaahhh. I also need to do a practice Elmo cake... I just love getting into all of this crafty stuff.

I got an invitation the other day for my previous boss' retirement. It looks like I should be able to go. I feel bad, because Doug didn't get an invite... he worked for him, too. I think that he probably didn't get an invite because they didn't have an e-mail address for him... but, anyway, I am looking forward to it. It will be nice to pay honor to Mark and to see a bunch of the people that I used to work with. Mark was by far the best person that I ever worked for. He was very honest, open, trustworthy... and, he even brought us "treats" from the local bakery thrift shop on a weekly basis. LOL. It is amazing what he could pick up for a buck or two...

Well, I need to get to work here. Laundry is taking over the house... and I even did three or four loads yesterday.
